Outreach and Empowerment Coordinator

Scope of Responsibility:

We are searching for an energetic and driven candidate for the Wakanyeja Tokeyahci Outreach and Empowerment Coordinator position. 

The Outreach and Empowerment Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating community-based language learning activities and working with the families of WT students to promote parent engagement and language learning opportunities. This role will play a key position in coordinating with Lakota language peers and establishing Lakota learning opportunities throughout Rosebud, which will include establishing a Lakota Summer Institute.

About Wakanyeja Tokeyachi:

WT is the only fully immersive Lakota elementary school on the Rosebud Reservation.

By contextualizing education through a Sicangu Lakota lens and utilizing project based learning techniques and individualized plans, we will create an educational system that works for our students and our community.
