Food Sovereignty Coordinator

After graduating from Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, Mike came to the Rosebud Reservation with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for two years of service.  During this time, he served as a radio jockey, mentored youth in the local juvenile detention center, and cultivated a new community garden.  Since accepting the Food Sovereignty Director position, Mike has successfully developed programs such as the Keya Wakpala Community Garden and Farmers’ Market, in addition to bringing in over half a million dollars in grants.
