Lakota Educator

Scope of Responsibility:

The Lakota Educator will demonstrate the Lakota wicohan na Lakoliyapi for the Wakanyeja Ki Tokeyahci Ki school and classroom culture.

Lakota Educator will take lead in communitive speech for all lessons, collaborate with WT staff to create lessons, and will lead communitive speech lessons with class.

Lakota Education will assess the Lakota language development of WT students.

About Wakanyeja Tokeyachi:

WT is the only fully immersive Lakota elementary school on the Rosebud Reservation.

By contextualizing education through a Sicangu Lakota lens and utilizing project based learning techniques and individualized plans, we will create an educational system that works for our students and our community.
